![]() ![]() Born in Brooklyn, NY, March 19, 1954, and raised in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of the late Sam and Rose (Marzo) Alouisa and spent the past two and a half years in Drums. These two fine young men watered the tree of safety. John Alouisa, 68, of Drums, passed away Wednesday evening, February 15, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton following a sudden illness. Left to cherish his memory are three daughters: Clara Renken of LeMars Bonnie Epling and her husband, Joel of LeMars Pamela Hartman of North Fort Myers, FL a son, Jeff Hartman and his wife, Lori of Maurice along with his twelve grandchildren: Justin, Sarah and Taylor Renken, Neil Epling, Amber March and her husband, Traun, Oceana Gutierrez, Kimberly and Zachary Shriver, Toby Hartman, Nick Egdorf, Travis and Sarah Schwarz and one great-grandson, Brayden Kayser. Darrell also was an active collector of toy trucks and enjoyed woodworking. ![]() He looked forward to the camping season each year, when he and Shirley would spend time at Yankton or the Lakes. He enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities. Darrell loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Over the years, Darrell had been active with the Maurice Booster Club and assisted with the Maurice Centennial celebration. Darrell worked as a dispatcher from 1980 until his retirement in 2008. The couple later moved to Maurice, IA where Darrell drove truck for many years. They made their home in Amarillo, TX, from 1957-1961, while Darrell served in the United States Air Force. Darrell and Shirley were blessed with four children. There are 9 professionals named 'Loopman', who use LinkedIn to exchange information, ideas, and opportunities. On Aughe was united in marriage to Shirley Hulstein in Sioux Center. Darrell attended grade school in LeMars and graduated from Pierson High School. Darrell Gene Hartman was born Mato William and Bernice (Whitmeier) Hartman at LeMars, IA. Interment will follow the service in Sherman Township Cemetery of Rural Maurice. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30AM at First Reformed Church of Maurice, Iowa with Rev. A prayer service for family and friends will be held at 8PM. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8PM with the family present from 6-8PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center. Darrell Hartman, 73, of Maurice, IA died Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA. ![]()
